These stud earrings feature pyrite in slate from Germany. Pyrite is an iron disulfide crystal that naturally forms in slate used over years of exposure to the natural elements. The pyrite crystals appear as gold cubes and flecks against the rugged texture of the host rock. These earrings were fabricated from sterling silver and featured a square wire frame and handcrafted prong setting. The top of each stud is accented by a solid 18 karat gold granule. Sterling silver posts. Just under 2 inches in length. 5.5 g each in weight, making for a very comfortable (and particularly badass) pair.
