This piece is a study of human resilience, defined as the capacity to absorb shock and disturbances, reorganize and continue functioning much the same way as before.

This statement piece was designed and fabricated from hand-sawn fragments of 10-gauge sterling silver. Each component was hand-filed one at a time to create beveled edges. The pieces sit flush against one another in a balanced configuration over a sterling silver backplate. A three dimensional piece of wearable art with beautiful depth as a result of carefully oxidized crevices and a satin-polished finish.

The sterling silver foxtail chain is adjustable between 16.5-17.5 inches. The pendant measures 2.5 inches across and is stamped on the back with my maker’s mark.
