This sterling silver ring was created from a plane of silver that was carefully pierced, cut and formed to suggest movement, drama, a tear and rupture. The faceted Tanzanite presses forward, emerging from behind the surface.
This ring represents the idea of “becoming,” and that sometimes barriers to full expression are nothing more than thresholds meant to be crossed.
The band is 5 mm wide and very comfortable. Stamped inside with my maker’s mark. The front face of this ring was formed to perfectly contour to the shape of the finger.
Emergence will be on view in “The Rabbit Hole” Exhibit during New York City Jewelry Week, November 19th-22nd at the Alphabet City Gallery. (Not immediately available for purchase— please email to inquire.)
